DNS Leak Test
Click the "Start DNS Leak Test" button to check if your DNS requests are being properly routed through your proxy or VPN tunnel
A DNS (Domain Name System) leak occurs when your device sends DNS queries to your ISP's DNS servers instead of routing them through your proxy or VPN tunnel, even though other traffic is being routed correctly.
This means that while your actual data might be encrypted and protected, your browsing activity (which websites you visit) can still be monitored by your ISP or network administrator.
- DNS settings: Configure your device to use your proxy/VPN provider's DNS servers exclusively
- DNS leak protection: Enable DNS leak protection in your VPN client if available
- Disable smart features: Turn off "smart multi-homed name resolution" in Windows or similar features
- Use secure DNS: Consider using DNS-over-HTTPS or DNS-over-TLS where possible

Why DNS Leaks Matter
DNS leaks can significantly compromise your privacy when using proxies or VPNs:
- Your ISP can see which websites you're visiting even when using a proxy
- Network administrators can monitor and potentially block your browsing activity
- Your browsing history can be logged and potentially linked to your identity
- DNS hijacking attacks become possible, potentially redirecting you to malicious sites
